What We’re About
Painted Table Farm is a flower farm in Gilroy, California, owned by Todd and Carly. The two met through poetry school in 2022. Eventually conversations about writing moved toward a shared dream to work with our hands to build something lasting.
The farm is managed through regenerative practices—building soil health, working with the rhythms of the seasons, and practicing non-synthetic pest management to grow flowers that are fresh, vibrant, and fragrant.
Our flowers are grown at hand-scale in open fields. Heat, rainfall, and daylight hours all affect what is available week to week and month to month.
We harvest flowers daily. When you visit our farm stand you are buying flowers that have traveled from our field to stand. About 500 human steps instead of the 5,000 jet miles that cut flowers typically travel.
We are a family owned business and a small team. We love the work. We make mistakes and learn from them. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.
A painted table gets nicked, scuffed, and painted over again. It is a working surface. It is welcoming. It may be peeling or faded, but there is always a seat. That is what we’re building here.
